We met working together at Raising Canes, but it wasn't love at first sight. In fact Steven didn't even like me when we first met. Spending long shifts together brought us closer and we found ourselves falling for each other. Naturally I tried to fight it, work relationships are never a good idea. Steven fought like hell to get me to agree to go out with him. After work he would take me on long drives with no destination just to spend time with me. He would take me to dinner, movies, anything to impress me and I felt my walls slowly coming down around him. Steven asked me out multiple times and each time I said no until Steven came up with a proposal. "Give me one month and if it's not the best relationship you've ever had then we will call it quits." Best decision I ever made.
Amber kept saying she wanted professional pictures done, so I had an idea. I bought a ring and asked my friend Britney Gressel if she was free Saturday for a photoshoot. She suggested to go to Scottsdale and do pictures in front of Robert Indiana's Love sculpture, I showed Amber and she loved the place. That morning getting ready for pictures I remember thinking how the hell am I supposed to hide this box, so I slipped the ring in my pocket and out the door we went. When we arrived to the location I was ready, but Britney kept telling me "not yet wait for the right time." We were having so much fun taking pictures and then I remembered we never discussed a signal for when I would propose. Britney started yelling "HAND" I was confused until I finally got the gesture. I pulled out the ring and got down on one knee, and asked "Will you take my hand?"
