FAQs

Question

Is this on a Friday?

Answer

Yes! We recognize that people work on Fridays so it might be inconvenient for some. But, if you are reading this, it's because you were purposefully invited, so we would love for you to be there!! If you can call off work that would be great, but don't feel bad if you can't. We understand! If you can't make it to the ceremony you can always come to the reception which starts a little later around 6pm. There will be free food and drinks, including free (but limited) alcohol. Also, when you RSVP you can request some songs to be played as well! So maybe that will sway your decision a bit? :)

Question

Is this a Catholic Wedding?

Answer

Yes! James and I are getting married in the Catholic church, so our ceremony might look a little different than an average wedding. We understand a lot of our guests are not Catholic so, if that is you, don't fret! You can just follow what everyone else does (sitting, standing, kneeling) or just sit the whole time, that's fine too! The one thing you won't follow is when people come up for receiving the Eucharist (Communion/bread and wine). During this you can just stay at your seat. I promise no one is judging! Just relax and enjoy the day. Matthew 7:1-5 Matthew 11:28-30

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Somewhere in-between semi-formal and black tie optional. Khakis, button-ups, dress pants, ties, nice shoes, modest dresses. The colors of the wedding are sage green, dark green, mauve, burgundy, and blush. You are welcome to try and match these colors.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at the church for the ceremony. Although, the reception venue has exactly 40 parking spots. So please consider car pooling with someone else going as well.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Registry is a menu option at the top of this website. We only have a house fund and honeymoon fund set up since we don't need anything else. We are also going to have a station at the reception if you feel the need to give us anything. Any amount is very much appreciated!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, just let us know so that we can have a seat for them if they weren't on the list when you RSVP'd.

Question

Are kids/babies welcome?

Answer

Of course!!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as possible. Preferably by Sept 1st.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

This is subject to change as we get closer to the ceremony, but plan to arrive at least 15 - 30 minutes before 4pm.
