This has been the ultimate debate since the beginning of time, so to tell the full story we are both going to write our perspectives on how we met!! Bride: I was in 9th grade and he was in 8th. I was leaving cheer practice and he was leaving football practice. A group of our friends were hanging in the parking lot afterwards, so I walked over to hangout. I remember thinking he was so cute... Later that night I felt brave and sent him a DM on Facebook. Thankfully he didn't think I was a weirdo and he actually messaged me back. We messaged throughout the week and he finally asked me to go to the Friday night football game with him. This was the era of group hangouts, so we hung in a big group of our mutual friends. Later that week we went on a date to see The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I brought one of my friends with me because I was so nervous to be on a real date. That following Friday we went to another football game, but this time we had a group of our friends come back to my house afterwards to hangout. We were all sitting on my trampoline and he finally asked me to be his girlfriend in front of everybody... and the rest is history! Groom: Emily and I have always been just close enough to each other but really we have just never met. She used to be very good friends with my best friend and now Best Man, Mac. We should have been friends but we just had never met yet. God knew what he was doing because when I met Emily back in middle school we were both awkward and I don't even why she even liked me. She messaged me on Facebook and we got to know each other a bit more. But we officially met at our high school football game and I was really nervous to be there with her. We talked a bit more and I got her number and I asked her out to a movie date. We went to see The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Emily brought her friend with her. On the following weekend we hung out with our friend group at her house and I asked her to be my girlfriend. The rest is history!
