Happenstance would have it that Christy's close friend, Bridgette, had moved south just prior to our fated meeting. At the time, Christy had begun researching places to check out in Ft. Lauderdale; little did she know that at that very moment she would be scrolling across her forever partner. One 'double tap' later, a modern day love story was born. Although we planned for a simple lunch date that weekend, we were fortunate to have our second impromptu date (the next day) at sunset on the rooftop of the building that would ultimately become the site of our engagement proposal. A modern love story that started as South Florida geotag search, quickly evolved into a pin-drop into Jake’s heart.
The age old adage is true, 'when you know you know'. And when we were fortunate enough to finally cross paths, albeit 215 miles apart from one another, it was an experience unlike any other. Not only do we have the same birthday, we share a laundry list of similarities including our background, families, and passions. As our competitiveness through Apple Watch competitions gleaned brightly, as did our underlying love for one another. From road trips, spontaneous flights, multiple week quarantines, and "would-you-rathers", blossomed a once in a lifetime romance.
The wedding is on Sunday, January 15th, 2023 and was selected to provide ease to guests traveling from afar as well as to provide additional recovery, (that is anticipated) post wedding as Monday, January 16th is a National Holiday, namely MLK Day. Wedding Ceremony and Reception will be outdoors. Can't wait to see you there!
