When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We will send out the final wedding invitations with details at the beginning of April. You’ll be able to officially RSVP by April 3rd. All RSVPs will happen on the website.

What is Shepherd’s Run?

Answer

Shepherd’s Run is a destination estate winery, resort, and event venue set on a picturesque thirty-six acres in bucolic Rhode Island. Their mission is to connect our guests and community to the culture, artisans, craft, and terroir of our unique region. Established in 1933, Shepherd’s Run was once the summer residence of Rush Sturges and Elizabeth Hazard Sturges. The original manor was designed in the Norman Romanesque style by Thomas Pym Cope and the gardens were designed by famed landscape architect Beatrix Farrand.

Will the Wedding Ceremony be outside?

Yes! The Wedding Ceremony will be held in the Beatrix Garden. We will have cream/white shawls available.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Yes! There will be shuttles from the Fairfield Inn & Suites and Hampton Inn.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The Wedding Ceremony starts at 5:00pm EST, but guests are allowed to arrive as early as 4:30pm.

Are kids welcome?

This will be an adult only affair.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend the Fairfield Inn, as it is the hotel closest to the venue, and is 1 of 2 hotels with a shuttle to the venue, and will be the location of the after-party. The Hampton is a very close second and only a 3-minute drive further. Please visit the Travel section of the website for more hotel/lodging options.

Is there a room block for September 14th & 15th?

Yes! We have room blocks at the Fairfield Inn & Suites and Hampton Inn. That being said, the blocks are limited due to popularity of the area. We recommend booking your hotel accommodations at your earliest convenience.

We’re honored you want to bring more guests to the wedding so we can party together, but we’re only accepting guests on the RSVP list. Please contact us with any questions!

Yes! The Registry tab of the website will be live starting April 2024.

Is there free self parking at the venue?

Answer

There is free parking for guests at the venue, Shepherd’s Run, but we’ll provide a shuttle transporting guests from Fairfield Inn & Suites and Hampton Inn & Suites.
