Our story began when our New Year's Eve plans didn't go accordingly. My best friend and I were on our way to Dallas, but decided not to go due to bad weather conditions. We then asked our friends in Oklahoma City what they were doing and decided to go spend New Year's with them. Through our mutual friends I met a guy named Brian. New Year's Eve ends and we go our separate ways. A couple weeks go by and then Brian messaged me out of the blue and we haven't looked back since. It's crazy to believe looking back that the start of 2018 would be the start of our forever. I am a firm believe that God has a plan for everything, and I thank him every day that he made our paths cross that New Year's Eve.
It was the weekend of this country music festival called Calffry, and if you know me, Brian, and our friends you know we love going to concerts. It had been raining all day, and Brian was in a strange mood, but i just shook it off (I found out later he was extremely nervous all day). For a brief amount of time it stopped raining and my friends wanted to play a game of corn hole. Me and Brian were on the same end, and I went to grab the bean bags. I turned around to hand him his bean bags, and there he was down on one knee with a ring box in his hand. Everyone was in on it and helped him with the proposal. Even though it was wet, muggy, and none of us looked very cute, it was the most perfect way he could've asked and I loved every second of it.
