Turner and Preston’s story begins fall of senior year at Texas A&M (WHOOP!) in a scuba diving class! One day in class, Preston walked up to Turner to make small talk, and within minutes they discovered they shared mutual friends and interests. Soon enough, they were walking to class together, comparing notes, and learning all the silly things about one another. What Preston didn’t know at the time was that Turner was so nervous that she secretly nicknamed him “Scuba Boy” when talking with her friends—because she did not want to jinx anything! Their first date was at Harvest, a coffee shop in downtown Bryan. They’d planned to go in-between classes, but one cup of coffee turned into a three-hour conversation…and Turner may or may not have skipped her next class because the date was going so well. They left Harvest grinning ear to ear, already excited to see each other again. From that day on, Preston pursued Turner with a sweetness and intention she’ll never forget—long walks, study dates, Pi Phi date parties, and many playlists shared back and forth. They bonded over their love of music, their eagerness for adventure, and most importantly, their shared love for the Lord. On November 12th, 2023, after a trip to Austin for a concert, Preston officially asked Turner to be his girlfriend. When they say “I do,” it will have been 972 days since that special night. Over the years, their story has been shaped by both exciting adventures and the quiet, everyday moments that drew them closer. They graduated from Texas A&M, traveled to Boston, Washington D.C., and Spain, spent cherished time with each other’s families, and started new chapters together as they both moved to Dallas to begin their careers. Through all of it, they’ve seen the Lord faithfully guide their steps and prepare their hearts for marriage. On August 23rd, 2025, Preston asked Turner the easiest question she’s ever answered. He would surprise her at White Rock Lake, waiting at the end of a dock to get down on one knee. When Turner arrived and saw him, she basically jumped down the dock to meet him! With tears in their eyes and hearts full of gratitude to the Lord, Preston proposed and Turner said yes! Now they’re counting down the days until they become husband and wife, grateful for every step that brought them here.
