After Brandon slid into Lisa's DMs, they arranged a coffee date close enough to Brandon's place that he could make a speedy escape if necessary. Brandon had the most sugary confection available, topped with whipped cream, and Lisa had a double espresso, which sums up their roles in the relationship pretty well. The conversation was so wonderful they spent the rest of the day together and went back for more the next day (and the next, and the next). Within weeks they started planning and booking a trip to Germany together so Brandon could have a date to his friend's wedding and a chauffeur for the Autobahn. After a summer of bonding and planning, they made the trip and had such a great time that Lisa only barely thought about renewing her residence permit and sending Brandon back to Minnesota on his own. After taking an international trip together six months into knowing each other, nothing was out of reach and the dreaming started. And now here they are!
