Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony starts at 4pm, so to ensure you're seated, please arrive no later than 3:45. There is a Welcome Station, with a small bite and a mocktail prior to the ceremony.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We want you to feel comfortable! We ask guests to wear suits or jackets and slacks and cocktail or floor-length dresses. Please no jeans.

Your wedding venue says "permanently closed" on Google. Is this an error?

Answer

No! Our venue is closing in 2026, and we feel lucky to get to be one of the last couples to be married there. Because of this, they marked it as "closed". This is in no way going to affect our event.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids! If your RSVP shows your kids, they are more than welcome!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We can only accommodate a finite number of guests, so if your RSVP shows a plus one, or your partner's name, they are more than welcome!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We have blocked rooms at the Holiday Inn Farmville (see the travel tab!), however, there is also the Hotel Weyanoke, which is a more "boutique" hotel.

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside (weather permitting), but the reception will be inside with heat/air as needed. The cocktail hour will take place outside with heaters as needed!

Is there parking at the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There is ample parking available at the venue!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We love our photographer, and think you will too! (Check out our engagement photos in the "gallery" tab!) We kindly ask phones to be away during the ceremony, so we can see everyone's faces in our photos!
