The calm before the storm: enjoying the views of the Dolly Sods Wilderness before racing off to find a camp site before dark!

Did you know you can use tea bags on your skin before tossing them out? It's a great stress reliever. Really, you should try it.

Day two of backpacking the mountains of North Carolina. This trip was plagued with insufferable heat and torrential, post-hurricane rains, but is fondly remembered as a worthwhile adventure.

Standing on top of Pike's Peak, Colorado! The views from this 14,100 foot monster are insane. Fun fact: cars often have to pull off while descending the mountain to give their hot brakes a break.

On October 9th, 2020, the couple were officially engaged, met with cheers by several onlooking hikers on top of Seneca Rocks in West Virginia.

Jacob picked out the perfect ring.

The couple had wanted to visit Seneca together since the early stages of the relationship. Jacob made sure finally getting to go would be quite memorable.

The couple's first time "snuba diving," a hybrid of snorkeling and scuba diving. Hannah has since taken a full length scuba diving course at Marshall and plans to be certified before summer!

Great views from the heart of Key West, Florida.

Exploring the mangroves of Key West on a private boating tour along side of family!

For Halloween 2021, we dressed up as Flo from Progressive and Jake from State Farm. We've never gotten so many compliments in our life.

Us at Pipestem several years ago, before Remi's hair turned gray. How fitting that we'd get married here!

During our mission trip to Costa Rica in 2021, we stumbled upon these hand carved wooden rings in a souvenir shop. Jacob will be using his as his official wedding band!

Tasting lemon grass and fresh chives from a local pastor's garden in Costa Rica.

Good friend (and bridesmaid) Violet snapped this polaroid the day we got engaged. We'd just finished our summit of Seneca Rock (towering in the background) and were headed to more backpacking trails.

Following our engagement, our group set off for the greater Seneca backcountry. Jacob badly sliced his finger, cutting our camping trip a day short to find a MedExpress. He was a great sport, though!

Friends Violet and Abbott celebrate alongside Jacob for a happy engagement. They were in on the secret all along!

Are you really a West Virginian (and Ohioan...) couple if you haven't taken a picture with the New River Gorge bridge?

We kayaked to an island just a bit off the coast of Deer Isle, Maine. There, we enjoyed a picnic, boat watching, reading, hiking, and finding loads of wild raspberries!

Almost all of that greenery is entirely made of raspberry bushes found while hiking through a small island in Maine.

Hannah is a huge fan of Twenty One Pilates. We enjoyed our first big concert together at the KFC Yum! arena in Louisville, Kentucky.

Hannah's dad may have made teased Jacob quite a bit for this, but Jacob is always a champ for Hannah's funny halloween ideas. Including dressing as the "hunny" pot to Hannah's Winnie the Pooh...

Go Herd! Hannah and Jacob spend their first year together at Marshall University in the fall of 2018.
