Looking to treat yourself? Look no further than Bern's Steakhouse. Located right across from the Epicurean Hotel, this well-renowned steakhouse was voted one of the best steakhouses in the world by Forbes. The restaurant houses over three quarters of a million bottles of wine from all over the world and has won the Wine Spectator Grand Award of Excellence every year for the past 4 decades (less than 100 restaurants across the world receive this award). Finish off dinner at the one-of-a-kind Harry Waugh Dessert Room. No need for reservations here if you're already dining at Bern's. On the second floor, the dessert room has over 48 private booths. Accompanied by piano music and a wide selection of desserts, this portion of dinner offers an entire new dining experience. Note: Reservations book up quickly and begin 60 days in advance.

This outdoor mall is just under a mile away from the Epicurean. Some of our favorite restaurants here are Meat Market, Forbici, Goody Goody, and On Swann. Enjoy a coffee from Buddy Brew and stroll around Historic Hyde Park in the heart of Tampa.

Located at the tip of downtown Tampa, Armature Works offers views of the Tampa skyline. This multi-use building has several amenities. Have a drink on the rooftop bar, M.Bird or enjoy food from several different vendors ranging from sushi to tacos. There’s food for all kinds of appetites. Sit back and enjoy a drink on the lawn and watch the busy city life of Tampa right in front of you.

Next to the Port of Tampa, Sparkman Wharf is an outdoor gathering space with a beer garden along with many food vendors. Often you'll hear live music on the stage and is known to host Tampa Bay Lightning watch parties. Grab a beer and a snack, and enjoy water views!

At the center of Tampa’s downtown, the Riverwalk has much to explore. Popular water view nearby restaurants are Jackson’s and American Social located on Harbour Island. You’ll also find the popular bar The Sail and casual seafood joint, Big Ray’s Fish Camp at the center of the riverwalk next to the convention center. There is also a water taxi that will take you up to Armature Works and back along with other boat rentals. The Riverwalk runs from Armature Works to Sparkman Wharf, about 2.6 miles long.

Want a FREE way to hop around downtown Tampa? Look into the TECO streetcar system. The streetcar system includes 11 stops. Click the link to find a map on their website. Popular areas the streetcar stops near include, The Sail/Big Ray’s Fish Camp, Sparkman Wharf, Hattrick’s Sports Bar, and Ybor City. Though the streetcar system is not walking distance from the Epicurean, you’ll find it easy to navigate once you’re exploring downtown Tampa. Note: the streetcar system does not go all the way to Armature Works.

The Columbia Restaurant is one of the best ways to experience culture and history in Tampa. They opened their doors in 1905 and is Florida's oldest restaurant. This Spanish-fare restaurant was the first restaurant to have an air conditioned dining room in 1935. Since its opening, there are over 7 locations across the state. Hop on the streetcar and head to Ybor City to experience some of the oldest parts of Tampa. You'll often see chickens roaming around this part of town during the day.
