"I love Liz because she brings the aventurous side of me forward. She is always making me laugh and feel strong about myself"

What is with Turkey and Peacock and Team Fowler?

Answer

These are pet names that both of us have earned while dating. As most of you should know, Thomas absolutely loves to cook, it is his happy place. When we were first dating before we lived together, we were talking about food and we started specifically talking about Thanksgiving. The gusto with which Thomas spoke about cooking a Thanksgiving Day dinner required Liz to make fun of him and forever dubbed him her "Turkey". Now Thomas could not let that go without a counter. Per Thomas, Liz struts around like a "proud peacock" - colors and feathers and confidence and all and Liz was henceforth his Proud Peacock. From there - we came to calling ourselves Team Fowler as a play on the bird names that resulted.

How many pets do you currently have?

Answer

We currently have five pets! Three cats and two dogs . We call them our very own Breakfast Club : Biscuit, Sausage, Waffles, Hashbrown, and Poptart ... though Liz would have more if it was only up to her.

Favorite meal to share together?

Answer

We are adventurers and foodies at heart, if you know a good spot we want to hear about it ... if not there's a good chance we have already been there. Though you can't beat a home meal from Thomas (he cooks while Liz supervises with a cocktail and commentary)!

Favorite thing to do as a couple?

Answer

If you can't already tell from our photos, the answer is TRAVEL! We are all about adventure. If we can't travel, we love getting out in the ocean in kayaks or stand up paddle boards or going on hikes if we must stay on land. When work keeps us busy, we dig into our nerdy side and binge new TV shows or movies. We love the Star Wars universe, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and more. We have a whole nerd den dedicated to our nerdy side.

Liz: When did you know Thomas was the one?

Answer

Kiba was my bridge to forever with Thomas. Kiba - Thomas' faithful companion, best friend, and best doggo ever - passed away just after his 12th birthday. When Kiba passed, peacefully at home with both of us holding him, I promised Kiba that Thomas would be okay, that I had him, and it was okay to go. I knew then, that vow was sacred, Thomas was my person forever (I maybe cried while typing this).

Answer

Immediately. She is obviously the best thing that ever happened to me.
