In May 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, we met on Hinge (dating app) and started talking and getting to know each other. We talked over the phone for a couple of weeks and then at the end of the month, we decided to go on our first date to a golf driving range. From there, it seemed mutual that we both wanted to go out again and get to know each other more. As we started hanging out more, we both learned that we both went to Middletown High School South and graduated the same year! It was crazy to learn that throughout high school neither one of us had a single class together or saw one another, even if it was just passing through the halls. Three months later, on August 21, 2020, after getting to know each other and dating, we went to the Lighthouse to grab some Italian ice/ice cream. In the parking lot, Connor, being super nervous, asked Molly to be his girlfriend and she said yes! Over the next three years, we've made so many amazing memories from quick little dates of bowling, grabbing a bite to eat/drink, or just spending time outside when the weather was nice to fun and exciting vacations/mini getaways! In between all of that, we loved getting to know each other's families from just hanging out at the house to spending holidays with each other. Two of our favorite things we love to do are finding new places, local or out of state, to hike/explore, sitting around the firepit cooking dinner, talking, and maybe doing a little stargazing.
We planned a getaway to Catskills, NY staying in a cabin through Getaway House. It was the perfect little cabin in the woods with string lights and a firepit. Little did Molly know, this trip was going to be one to remember forever...Connor was planning on proposing! The day started rainy and cloudy, but when we arrived the clouds started to depart a little and it stopped raining. We were unpacking, getting situated, and wanting to start dinner because we were hungry. Connor told Molly to start a fire and unbeknown to Molly, Connor was inside the cabin decorating. Connor came out and told Molly that he had a small activity for her to do, it was a puzzle! For those who don't know Molly...she loves puzzles! Molly started putting the pieces together and the more she pieced together, she started to figure out what was happening. The final result of the puzzle said, "Molly, will you marry me?" Connor pulled Molly to the side got down on one knee, and popped the question and as you can tell...she said yes! So here we are, waiting for our special day to come so we can become husband and wife and celebrate our love with our family and friends!
