Like all classic love stories and fairytales, this one begins in a bar. Though Katie and Michael had mutual friends and lived and worked in the same place for over two decades, they had yet to cross paths until one fateful night at The Alley (only the classiest of establishments), on Katie's birthday no less. When their mutual friend Sanger gave Michael a glowing recommendation, Katie agreed to go on a date with him! Apparently, Michael had some serious game and Katie fell head over heels in love. The rest is history!

Michael dabbled in a bit of covert ops and conspired with Katie's photographer friend Ashleigh to plan the surprise proposal. Ashleigh ran with Michael's idea to set up a graduation photo shoot for Katie, and suggested that Katie get some "cute couple photos" while she had her grad pics done. That way Michael could be there — and they could be on camera — and Katie wouldn't suspect a thing. Mid photoshoot, Katie went for an outfit change, and when she came back, Michael was on one knee. Ashleigh was there to capture the whole thing! To top it off, Michael brought her to a romantic dinner at Vigilucci's immediately after, and both their families were there as a surprise for an engagement celebration. As you can imagine, there were many happy tears.
