Tyler and Kyra met through family when Tyler was in 8th grade and Kyra in 9th, in 2013. Funny enough, they did not speak for three years after that because of generic teenage drama. Tyler messaged Kyra in April of 2017 to talk about an anime they both liked, and that's how it all started. They began dating in August of 2017. After a year of dating, Tyler enlisted into the Army in August of 2018 on a six-year active-duty contract, and their long-distance journey began. There would be days where Kyra would drive from state to state, waking up at 4 a.m. to drive from Pensacola, Florida, to Bowling Green, Kentucky, by 2 p.m. — just in time to arrive for her shift at the Boys and Girls Club — all while in graduate school full-time. In July of 2024, immediately after completing his active-duty contract, Tyler transitioned into the Army Reserves, and for the first time, they lived in the same state and in the same house. After a military contract, managing long distance for several years, and several cats, they decided to have the government be involved in their union. They are big fans of each other, and they are excited that y'all feel the same. The gratitude is overflowing, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you all soon.
