While Spanish is the national language of Mexico, nearly everyone in San Miguel speaks some English. Most tours and services are offered in both languages, and you shouldn't have too much trouble finding someone who can speak English should you need some help. Of course we recommend having Google Translate downloaded on your phone ahead of the trip.
By foot is the easiest way to get around San Miguel de Allende. The whole city itself is walkable and you don’t need a car to explore. That said, Uber or taxis are readily available to get you around the city if in a hurry. Uber is very reliable, taxis will require cash.
There is a Starbucks on the main town square that has fantastic wifi and a lot of seating. We recommend going there to do work as many of the cafes around town have weak wifi connections.
