JESSICA'S VERSION Our story began sometime in 2006. We met through mutual friends and crossed paths multiple times over the years where Kevin was usually playing either guitar hero, ping pong, or beer pong. After I moved back to Arizona in 2012, a friend of mine insisted that I join their “shopping crew” after work. It was that night that I witnessed Kevin sending out the vibes and the rest is history. In all seriousness, we got to know each other better through more “shopping crew” outings and our themed “movie crew” (Denzel Washington or Matthew McConaughey movie marathon anyone?!) and we started to date in 2013. The last 6-7 years have been an adventure full of hikes, traveling, and fantastic food. We can’t wait to start our next chapter celebrating with our friends and family in October! KEVIN'S VERSION We first met…well we aren’t exactly sure when we first met, but it was sometime in the summer of 2006. Jessie was the cute girl (and amazing dancer) who went to USD that would hang out with all of us during summer and Christmas break. It wasn’t until she moved back from California in 2012 that I started to get to know her over trivia, nights out in Old Town Scottsdale, and of course “shopping crew” where she and some other girls helped me update my wardrobe. I sent out the vibes in some shorts she picked out and the love connection began in August 2013 after we were both in two of our best friends’ wedding. Many of our dates over the years have been on hikes, and I thought the most fitting proposal was on our favorite and most frequented hikes in the McDowell Mountains at Sunrise Peak. Jessie knew I was a little weird when I agonized over the perfect picture/video at the top of the mountain, but after choking up on the words I wanted to tell her, she said yes after 6+ years of dating! We FaceTimed our families from the top of the mountain and can’t wait to share in celebrating with everyone.
