Every shift, we’d quietly reserve a seat for the other, just to sit side-by-side and share a few laughs between tasks. Even when our shifts changed, we’d find moments — even just a few hours — to see each other and connect. At first, we were just friends, but deep down… something was already unfolding. After the company closed its doors, our new beginning quietly opened. One day, Tim told me something that stayed with me: He said he didn’t pursue me too quickly because he’d rather have me in his life as a friend forever than risk losing me completely if things didn’t work out. And yes, as the princess I am — that was straight out of a fairytale. I’ll never forget the first gift he gave me. He was excited and nervous all at once — hoping it would be good enough, worried it wasn’t fancy enough. But here’s the thing: I’m not a vain girl. I just take good care of myself — and he knew that. He also knew that anyone coming into my life needed to meet me where I already stood. And he tried. That’s what mattered most. (For the record: I am a jewelry girlie. We’ve grown, we’ve had our differences, and we’ve seen each other through so many seasons. But his love, his loyalty, and his character — those things have always spoken louder than anything else.
