The Foxglove Pub invites you to step into a world of vintage charm and modern delights. A cozy establishment that exudes warmth and character.
We love ordering from Cozy Thai! Owned by a brother and sister serving traditional meals amid cultural decor with wine & takeout available. Sarah always gets the Panang Curry and Tucker the Pad Thai.
Walking distance from our apartment, The Poked Yolk has an amazing breakfast! Sarah recommends the Jose Benny.
Fresh handcrafted ice cream, ice cream cakes and pies. Indoor and outdoor seating. Our favorite place for ice cream, and the best milkshakes in Western New York!
A huge wooded and hilly park, Chestnut Ridge has many hiking trails, the Eternal Flame Falls, places for a cookout or to play frisbee, and playgrounds for kids. We love hiking here and spending the day at this park. Some of our favorite hikes are the Eternal Flame Falls Trail, the Orienteering and Boy Scout Trails, and the Chestnut Ridge Reservoir Trail. This is also where we got engaged!!!
The Tifft Nature Preserve is a 264-acre nature preserve in Buffalo, New York, and one of the largest municipal nature preserves in New York State. We love hiking these trails, from the hills that overlook the city of Buffalo and Lake Erie, to the wetlands that are rife with birds and other wildlife. Tifft is constantly working to better the preserve, and we enjoy watching the trees and native species grow and flourish. Sometimes we will meet here while Tucker is on his lunch break from work.
Major's Park Boardwalk and Wetland Loop is a favorite of ours, and we will sometimes go and have picnics here. A kid-friendly hike with lots of wildflowers.
A beautiful park with a variety of habitats, including grasslands, woodlands, ponds, and wetlands. The Knox Farm, located within the park, is still home to a number of farm animals, including horses, sheep, goats, llamas, and chickens. The historic farm buildings are still standing and we enjoy exploring the area around them.
Longtime neighborhood hub offering wings & sauces with varying spice levels, plus beer flights.
Buffalo RiverWorks is the city’s premier waterfront, boating, sports bar, music and entertainment destination located along the banks of the Buffalo River. A fun place to explore and one of the first places we went when we moved to Buffalo in 2022. The Ward Restaurant features contemporary American cuisine served in an industrial rustic setting and both with indoor and outdoor patio seating. There is also a Ferris wheel!
Year-round, free-admission attraction featuring a restored 1924 hand-carved wooden carousel. A great place to take kids and walk along the Buffalo Riverfront!
Historic 4-level warehouse for bar-&-grill fare, billiards & sports on TV with house brews in hand. Has live music and bar games! We like going here before a Buffalo Bandits Lacrosse game.
Niagara Falls State Park is America's oldest state park and lives up to its reputation as a natural wonder of the world. Walk along the gorgeous Niagara Gorge landscape designed by Olmstead, check out the Cave of the Winds and Maid of the Mist attractions, or eat at the Top of the Falls Restaurant! A family-friendly day of adventure. If you bring your passport, you can check out the Canadian side as well.
