It all began on Saturday, October 13th, 2018, in Fargo, ND.
A small gathering was being held at the beautiful and iconic home located at 2010 2nd St. N. A group of girls, one of whom proudly carried the nickname "Stairs," walked into the party. The night unfolded with live performances, singing along to YouTube music videos of “Lil Boo Baby”, “Making Love to the Beat,” and late-night country being played from the WiiU. Pan Pulls, taping desk lamps to the wall, and beer pong were all part of the evening’s festivities.
Elly found herself partnerless,
at beer pong table, until a tall, blonde guy wearing cowboy boots and a Chase Utley jersey walked up and introduced himself. His name was Tucker. They hit it off immediately but remained just friends—for months. Winter break came and went, and one night, after a few too many glasses of wine at a girls' night, Elly was convinced to message the cute guy in the boots from the party. By late February 2019, after a second attempt at making things official, they started dating and have been together ever since. They both were the catch.
In the years that followed,
they both worked toward their college degrees. An unexpected additional year together, due to COVID eligibility, allowed them to grow even closer. Tucker graduated and moved to the Twin Cities with Elly's Family to begin his professional career, while Elly moved in with Tucker’s sister to finish her final year of school.
In the summer of 2022,
Tucker bought a home in Saint Paul, and Elly, along with four of their good friends, moved in too. Some of their best memories were made during those two years with roommates. Fast forward to June 2024, Tucker proposed at Elly’s family home. At the end of the family dock on the lake, he got down on one knee. It was a special moment in a place where many more memories will be made.
Now,
Tucker and Elly still live in Saint Paul with their puppy, Newman. They’re eager to start their married life together and can't wait to celebrate their love with you this December!
