Dear friends and family, due to the current restrictions of COVID-19, we have decided to only hold our wedding ceremony on August 1st, 2020. It will still be at 6:30pm, and all are still welcome to come. However, we will be cancelling the reception part of our day. Drinks and cupcakes will be available to you as a ceremony favor. According to the current guidelines, a religious ceremony is allowed with as many people as you want, as long as we maintain social distancing. Anything after that is just a gathering and is limited to 10 people inside and 25 outside. Thank you for understanding. If you are still able to make it to watch us get married, we would love for you to come. However, we also understand if you do not feel comfortable at this time or are not able to attend. We love you! We can’t wait for the day!
Tucker and Katie never knew each other, although Katie had known and gone to church with his sister Hannah for almost ten years. So when Tucker started going to the same church, people were encouraging him that he "had" to meet this girl Katie. They finally met officially one night at a high school football game. They would casually greet each other at church and Tucker would go to the coffee shop that Katie worked at to see her (; A couple weeks later, they went on their first date to the Pioneer movie theatre. It didn't take long for Katie to know Tucker was the one, but Tucker always said he was "taking things slow". Early on Katie told Tucker "If I'm going to like you... I'm going to reeeaaallllyyy like you." He was a little taken back by that, but a few months in he understood what she said was true. They spent pretty much every day together ever since. Some of their favorite days were Sundays, going to church and then walking the beach searching for sea glass. They love boat rides and being out on the water. On April 22nd, Tucker told Katie they had a bunch of stuff to do to get the boat over so they could work on the trailer. They did what they had to do and then he said he wanted to ride around for a bit longer. He rode out to a beautiful spot in the creek at sunset and got down on one knee to ask Katie to marry him! Yay! They are so excited to walk into this journey together of becoming one in a Christ-filled covenant marriage. They want to thank everyone who can make it to celebrate this special day with them. Even if you can't make it, thank you for your prayers and support in this new season.
