Maid of Honor
Cynthia and Jessica met after their mom introduced them back in 1990. It turned out that they had both been squatters at mom's uterus.
Best Man
Mike and Jim met when Jim was born. He is a designer during the week, and a beekeeper, woodworker, and chicken coop owner on the weekends. He's excited to be a brother-in-law to Jess.
Bridesmaid
I met Jess in 2010 through my husband Fanuel (the wedding officiant) while they were both grad students at Stanford. She quickly realized I was WAY cooler than him and we became best of friends! We connected over our love for coffee and desserts, traveling, trying new restaurants, and deeper conversations about life, relationships, and career. Given my awesomeness, we successfully convinced Jess to move to Boston for her residency so truth be told, this epic love story is all thanks to me/us! (Haha jk ;) Jess and Jim have become like family to us and I’m excited to celebrate these two amazing humans!!
Groomsman
I know Jim through basketball. We both went to Georgia Tech, and have similar hobbies. Berk and Jim have a band called The Pragmatists. They released their first album "Every Second Counts" in 2021!
Bridesmaid
Jess is one of my best friends from our Stanford days. I had the pleasure of living with Jess in college! We slept on top of one another (literally) for an entire year in a bunk bed, had constant shenanigans and fun times, and also nerded out together all the time with study sessions. Jess and I share a love for both serious/studious side but also bond over our "goofy" sides!
Groomsman
I met Jim while working on a startup at Georgia Tech (making drones).
Bridesmaid
Rebecca and Jess lived two doors apart in Twain freshman year at Stanford. They have been fast friends and travel buddies ever since, climbing the stairs of the Sagrada Familia, napping on a gigantic couch in Athens, and making Jim jealous with a romantic Santorini vacation. Now it’s Jim’s turn!
Groomsman
I met Jim at a summer program before senior year of high school. For some reason, Jim was later willing to be roommates with me in college. Also, one time, Jess surprised Jim for his birthday by getting Justin to come visit Boston!
Bridesmaid
Jess and I were Pediatric Heme/Onc co-fellows together, and couldn't have survived the year without each other, picture: late nights in a windowless room playing Taylor Swift and eating Clover while working on notes/presentations. Continuing to support each other in careers and beyond now post-fellowship!
Groomsman and Officiant
I first met Jessica in 2008 at Stanford when we were just at the beginning of our respective grad school journeys. Little did we know this was the beginning of a true lifelong friendship. We went from doing mice perfusions in lab and publishing various articles together to co-authoring a book, launching a STEM non-profit, and running marathons on the East and West Coast! In 2017, my wife and I witnessed the beginning of an epic love story when Jess introduced us to Jim, who is truly one of a kind. I’ve enjoyed the many deep conversations with him about life, philosophy and everything else in between! And as they say, the rest is history!
Bridesmaid
Jess and Olivia met when Olivia spotted Jess at a county fair and clung to a beam of the ferris wheel Jess was riding, dangling mid-air until Jess agreed to be friends with her. Was that it? Or maybe they met at Stanford. Oh-8!
Groomsman
I met Jim in U.S. History class during junior year of high school. I probably said something really dumb, and we have been friends ever since.
Bridesmaid
I met Jess in our freshman dorm where she seemed to know EXACTLY what she was doing while I very much did not. Huge brains and extreme drive were less intimidating, though, when she was emphatically busting moves to "My Humps" while toothpaste foam dribbled down her chin!
Bridesmaid
I met Jess freshman year of college (Twain!), lived with her (and Pam) sophomore year and the rest is history! She and Jim are the absolute best - couldn’t get through life without them!
Best Dog
Woof woof! I was born in Rhode Island, but I moved to Boston when I was 8 weeks old. I enjoy long walks, chasing squirrels, eating treats, taking naps, and chewing on Dad's socks.
