Go for a scenic walk on Policemen's Creek Boardwalk

Entering Canmore, you’re sure to notice the Big Head sculpture. From here, you can start the stunningly scenic 4 km (2 mi) boardwalk alongside Policeman’s Creek. The walk is a popular, picturesque delight—a gem of nature—right in downtown Canmore. The Policeman’s Creek boardwalk connects with the town’s extensive trail system, so you can add a few more kilometres if you like.

A Scenic Walking Loop on Bow River Loop

The Bow River Loop is a scenic, easygoing trail that follows the banks of the Bow River and crosses the historic Old Engine Bridge of Canmore. This mostly flat, well-maintained loop is approximately 2 km long (1.24 miles) and typically takes 45 minutes to an hour to complete. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of the Three Sisters, the eastern face of Mount Rundle, and other surrounding peaks. The trail is popular with walkers, runners, and cyclists alike. For those craving a longer outing, the Bow River Loop connects to the Three Sisters Pathway to the south and the Larch Island Loop to the north, offering extended options for exploration. Go for an easy hike at Johnston Canyon

Bow Valley Parkway, AB T1L 1K2, Canada

Located about 40 - 45 minutes from Canmore. Parking is limited at this popular trail. Avoid missing out and use Roam Transit Route 9 everyday in the summer and on weekends and stat days in the winter. The trail is icy in the winter time, traction devices for your shoes are essential to ensure you're able to enjoy the trail. These are available to rent or buy at many retailers in Banff. Getting There Roam Route 9: Daily service from May - September and weekend service from October - April. Roam Route 8S: Daily service operating May - September. Choose from the easy route, which takes you up a gentle incline to the spectacular turquoise lake, or the more challenging wooded trail that passes by a waterfall and offers beautiful views of Canmore and Bow Valley. Plan for about one to two hours for this 4 km (2.5 mi) hike.
