Technically, Joe & Trysha met at the City Church in Nipomo years ago, though only saw each other as friends at the time and were loose acquaintances. Fast forward 17 years later, Trysha was at Vons, waiting for a prescription for her grandma and Joe was putting the butter away and she saw him and went up to him and asked for his phone number so they could get together and catch-up over coffee. They met at Starbucks (Joe paid, despite Trysha's initial protests), then after catching up, Joe asked her to go to the beach the following day. She said okay and they hung out again. After pursuing her with more invitations for hanging out, they made things official and started dating.
