Trusty & Bao

It is a blessing how small choices lead to big moments. Who knew that one decision would lead to the greatest encounter of our lives. We were not expecting anything more than a moment with God at a Night of Worship event in Modesto. We had no idea that Bao's sister introducing Bao and Trusty to each other that night, would lead them into finding the love of their lives. It all started with Trusty's pick-up line of having ten socks. He offered to give Bao a pair of socks to wear since the youth and single adults were going bowling after the event. Who keeps ten pairs of socks randomly in their trunk?! That one generous and quirky offer made Bao stop and think, "Who is this person?". Bao didn’t realize it then, but that moment was just the beginning of something beautiful. This meeting at the event was not a coincidence, but a plan set by God. When Bao returned home that night, she looked up "Tristan" on Facebook to see if she could find the man she had just met. The problem was…she thought his name was Tristan, so she scrolled through numerous Facebook profiles but could not find him. No one looked like the man who generously offered her a pair of socks. Though she had no intention of taking anything further, God kept pulling her to Trusty. And just like that, she found "Trusty", not "Tristan", on Facebook. Click! A new friend request has been accepted.
