In the summer of 2018, Daniel was newly obsessed with rock climbing—spending every free moment on the cliffs, chasing his next challenge. On one of those climbs, he met a fellow climber who quickly became his regular climbing partner. Before long, his friend invited him to join a trip to Ragged Mountain—a day that would change everything. Meanwhile, Kira had heard from her other roommate (Daniel’s climbing partner’s girlfriend) that he’d be heading out that weekend with his new climbing buddy—and that he was single.
