Back in 2014, I was a freshman at the Colorado State University-Pueblo (CSUP). I was majoring in both music & social work, so I was splitting my time in between the two departments. The first memory I have of meeting James had to do with some joke about the word "burrito". To be honest, I can't remember what he was taking about other than that it was random...anyone who knows James, knows! I'm pretty sure he friend requested me on Facebook, & I accepted. Words with Friends was pretty big back then (is it now?), & I'm 99% sure he started a game with me. Flash forward a few weeks- I was planning on going to a Pueblo Symphony concert mostly to get some credit for my music appreciation class. James asked me out on a date to see the concert...and well, I couldn't say no because we both would be going anyway! How awkward would that be? Needless to say, I took a leap and went on a date with him. The rest is history.
