James (soon to be Frater _ Brodeur, O. Praem.) is originally from Rhode Island but is now (or will soon be) residing in Wisconsin where he is (or will soon be) a novice at St. Norbert Abbey. Prior to the joining the Norbertines, he taught high school music in Sharon Public Schools while living up the road in Norwood. James met Jonathan and Alana through Norfolk County Catholics, enjoying time socializing, praying, cooking, kayaking, and gaming with them. One of his favorite memories is an impromptu hike up Mount Greylock the day after the day after Thanksgiving in the Year of Our Lord 2020 with Trudell … roughly over 32,000 steps later …

Sadie Harmon

Co-Maid Of Honor

Tomato lover, mom of cat named LoverBoi. Takes many naps. Lives down the street from the venue, may have bed head. Lovingly put up with every Alana Alana has been since '03. Buddies from elementary school all the way to today, way past college. Sadie is the first one to call with good news, bad news, and has stayed close through all that live has thrown. Even if there is distance or time goes by, a random phone call to catch up is all that's needed! Sadie is glad to be the Maid of Honor to help Alana through this long awaited time in her life, and to support her in what will be one of the first best days of her life.

Nick Terranova

"Succession Plan" Groomsmen

Ten years ago, at a camp in western MA, Alana found the man she had been looking for her whole life: Jesus Christ.  In addition to finding Our Lord, she also made a number of friends, including a guy who dressed in hiking clothes and walked around with a backpack who went by the name Nick Terranova.  Eight years after that, Alana would introduce Nick to Jonathan, a man with whom Nick was quite impressed.  1.5 years after that, after leaving seminary, Nick began attending events with Norfolk County Catholics, which allowed him to reconnect with Jonathan and Alana and strengthen his friendship with both of them.  Nick couldn't be happier that Jonathan and Alana are getting married and looks forward to meeting their future children.  Nick now lives in Rhode Island and works as a software engineer.  (Note: To distinguish him from Nick Moreau, he is often called, "Nick 2" or "Nick with the Mirror.")

My name is Katie Trudell and I’m a bridesmaid/ sister of the groom. When I was born, Jonathan walked right past my mom and said “where’s the baby?” So clearly, I’m the favorite. Even though I’m the favorite child, Jonathan is my favorite (and only) brother. He is one of the most kindhearted and hardworking people I know. That is of course, until I met Alana. Alana cares deeply for everyone in her life and always tries to make people’s lives better. I have seen Jonathan and Alana grow in love throughout their relationship and I’m so excited to celebrate their wedding!

Nick Moreau

Nick (known as Nick Prime because he joined NCC before Nick T, or “Nick 2”) grew up in Rhode Island and his extraordinary life has taken him a whopping TWO TOWNS over from where he was born! Nick originally went to film school but switched careers and now works as a software engineer for a major insurance company. He enjoys spending his free time hanging out with friends, making terrible dad jokes (which sometimes break Jonathan), watching Bishop Barron videos, soaking in the chaos of Catholic Twitter, listening to 70s and 80s rock, and being a gigantic nerd. Nick met Johnathan and Alana through Norfolk Country Catholics and has gotten to watch them grow together throughout the entire time they’ve been dating. Alana once told Nick “I’m normally a very sensitive person, but when you make fun of me I just feel so loved” and it was one of the best compliments he’s ever received (teasing is his love language) 🙂

Carissa Thekaekara

As a child, Alana was told never to contact strangers on the internet...but that's exactly how she met Carissa. Email exchanges led to a Dunkin Donuts meetup, which led to Alana volunteering to help Carissa with her church's youth group. In a short amount of time, it became clear that they were not just Catholic partners in crime, but true friends. A Soulfest and a Catholic Guy Con later, Carissa is honored to be able to stand by Alana during this important life milestone.

Anderson Vanegas Olivia

"A sweetheart who deserves hugs" Anderson was born and brought up near Boston for his entire life. Here he spends his time going on long walks to the fridge, playing games for a small audience of internet strangers, and tip tapping away on his piano hoping the sounds that come out slightly resemble a song he is trying to learn. Anderson had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan through work and quickly became friends by sharing similar senses of humor and competing on making each other laugh. He later met Alana through group hangouts and is super excited to have met this "match made in heaven" and can't wait to see it to come to fruition on this Earth!

Bridie Vail

Bridesmaid

Bridie is someone who knows(and loves) a TON of people. They are what give her immense joy in this life. It was the second young adult retreat where Bridie Vail attended where she met Alana Buckley. The two had a lot if things in common; sass, a strong relationship with their fathers (who are around the same age) a love for people, their faith, and the knowledge of what a chapel veil is! They were both overjoyed that they lived close to one another and saw each other at various young adult events. They also attended the March for Life together in Washington, DC, being surrounded by elderly pro-lifers didn't stop them from hiding a jumbo bottle of pink moscato in their suitcase, it was actually the reason they did! Alana has always kept up the communication with Bridie and Bridie has always been a sincere prayer warrior for Alana. Bridie is extremely happy to be witnessing Alana and Jonathan receive the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.

Jake Thiringer

Jake hails from and currently resides in the great state of New Jersey. There, he works at a church doing youth ministry, where he can sometimes be found playing piano for Mass or refereeing Slip and Slide Hockey while wearing a lion costume. Jake spent three years living in the strange land of Massachusetts, where he met Jon and later Alana through Norfolk County Catholics. Jake and Jon have played in a variety of bands together, including Johnny T and the Converts, The Kevin Deadly Sins, the Kevinly Virtues, and Jake White and the Kevin Dwarves. He is super excited for the wedding and to DJ the reception afterward!
