We met through mutual friends in our college years. Courtney was in the same Freshman dorm as one of Evans buddies from high school. We did not meet until a year or two later, we started as friends for quite a few years and it eventually became much more.

We were just starting an amazing vacation in Aruba, it was our second night in town and we made plans to go watch the sunset on the beach before dinner. We sat on a peaceful beach and watched the sun sink into the ocean, before deciding to take a couple of pictures. A few pictures in, I turned around and Evan was on his knee asking “Will you marry me?”
