On April 1st, 2017, Marisa and Chris connected for the first time. Chris took Marisa on their first date to the Cheesecake Factory on April 7th, 2017. The both of them barely touched their meals as they were talking so much! For a month and a half after, they continued to go on weekly dates to get to know each other. On May 18th, 2017, Chris surprised Marisa before going to the beach with a beautiful bouquet of red roses and asked her to officially be his girlfriend.

Chris and Marisa have stuck by each other's side throughout so many milestones. In June of 2017, Chris accompanied Marisa to her senior prom where they danced the night away at Jericho Terrace. He then attended her high school graduation the very next day. Throughout the next few years, they helped each other get through the ups and downs of college and attended all of each other's graduations, ceremonies and formal events.

One thing about Chris and Marisa is they can't stay put! On their first trip together as a couple, they went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Romeo in Coconut Creek, Florida. From there, they rented a car and traveled throughout Florida including going to the beach in Fort Lauderdale, attending a Miami Heat game on St. Patrick's Day in Miami and visiting cousin Dany in Disney World. Even though this was a tough trip to beat, they continued to raise the bar. They have traveled to California, Fort Meyers, Sanibel Island, Lake George, Punta Cana, Curaçao and of course..... Hawaii. They look forward to of a lifetime of adventures and new experiences together!

Chris always knew Marisa was the one from the very beginning. After months of planning the proposal, the Ninth of July came around. It was a beautiful summer night. Chris told Marisa that they were going to meet his brother and fiancé at the Salt Shack for a night out. Instead, Chris orchestrated a plan to get Marisa to Captree State Park (a mile further down Ocean Parkway). After they pulled in, Chris suggested they go walk on the beach. They walked through the greenery down to the shore... Chris poured his heart out to Marisa and dropped to a knee where he asked her to marry him. She said YES! To Marisa's surprise both their families surprised her and celebrated with them. It was a perfect night!

This year has already been filled with so many great memories. Marisa and Chris have had so much fun planning out every aspect of the wedding and can't wait to celebrate with everyone! Marisa and Chris are also so excited to announce they just bought their first home together in West Sayville, NY! See you on May 19th, 2024!
