Travel Recommendations: For guests flying in from out of state, Charleston International Airport (CHS) is the closest airport option and is located approximately 12 miles from downtown. Taxi, ride share, and shuttle options are available from the airport to downtown Charleston. Rental cars are also available, but often not needed since the downtown area is very walkable and, when needed, there are many Uber and Lyft options. Hotel Recommendations: Spring is a popular time in Charleston, so we recommend making hotel reservations as early as possible. For guests that would prefer easy and walkable access to the shopping, restaurants and nightlife of downtown Charleston, we recommend staying at one of the hotel options located around Marion Square.
