During freshman year at RIT we had physics class together. One day the professor didn’t show up, so the class dismissed themselves early. As we were preparing to leave, Steve intentionally timed it so that Amanda would be walking out right behind him and used the opportunity to talk to Amanda for the first time. We talked for a bit as we headed out of the building and decided to get lunch together to keep the conversation going. After that, study dates turned into real dates and so on!

For Thanksgiving 2019, we decided to go to Charleston, SC for a quick holiday vacation with our pup Daphne. On Thanksgiving Day, we made it a point to go to the Festival of Lights that Charleston is known for having each holiday season. While walking through the festival, we came upon an area where there were twinkling white lights covering the ground like snow. As we walked through a tunnel of blue lights among the field of white ones, Steve got down on one knee and proposed! It was magical!
