FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire. We suggest a balance between elegant and comfortable—think cocktail dresses, dressy separates, or a sharp suit. There will be some traversing through grass, so block heels are suggested over stilettos. We're envisioning a garden party vibe! Ladies are encouraged to wear colors and florals. Boys, rock your lighter colored suits if you have them. We can’t wait to see everyone looking their best!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’re keeping our celebration intimate! While we’d love to have everyone there, we can only host those named on the formal invitation (that you RSVP for).

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, with the exception of our immediate family, we have decided to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration. We want our friends and family to be able to be fully present and enjoy a night of relaxation and dancing with us.

Question

WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED TO THE WEDDING?

Answer

We encourage guests to book their stay at the von Trapp Lodge so you can simply walk to and from the festivities! For those staying at Stoweflake or Sun & Ski Inn (which are right across the street from each other), there will be a shuttle picking up and dropping off from there (Time TBD). If you are staying elsewhere in Stowe, please keep in mind that ride-share options like Uber and Lyft are quite limited in the area. We recommend booking a local taxi in advance if you plan on staying off-site from the hotel options listed.

Question

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Answer

The ceremony is at 4:00pm so plan to arrive between 3:30pm - 3:50pm. It is a 5-minute walk from the von Trapp Lodge. If you are NOT staying at the von Trapp Lodge, feel free to take the shuttle picking up from Stoweflake and Sun & Ski Inn (Time TBD).

Question

Is the wedding or reception outside?

Answer

Yes, all wedding day events are outdoors with the reception under a tent.
