Tanya & Troy both attended Medina high (Go Mustangs!). Hanging out at bonfires and backyard parties in mutual friend groups. All the while having crushes on each other but never being able to act on it. Troy claims he tried once and got shut down, but Tanya doesn't remember that! ;-) Eventually Tanya moved away to the warmer weather of Los Angeles and Troy moved to sunnier skies in Reno. As luck would have it the story really gets interesting when they become friends on instagram! They started talking through instagram messages. One week later they were texting almost constantly. Then talking on the phone a couple of weeks after that and eventually face timing every night. Thanks Instagram!
Tanya joined Troy on his annual road trip back to Reno where they stopped at every national park they could find. If you know Troy you know he has a thing for national parks. His original plan was to ask at the Mark Twain National Forest but did you know that there are 3 different locations of that forest in Missouri? We didn't, and our GPS took us to the wrong one. So after collecting his thoughts and reformulating his plan. He asked the next day at Mushroom Rock State Park in Kansas on top of a cute little mushroom rock. That itty bitty state park will forever hold a special place in our hearts!!
