Summertime in the Rockies is the place to be! From hiking to biking and fishing, there are countless outdoor activities to enjoy.

South Colony Lakes Trailhead has a number of  trails and high alpine lakes to explore, including views of the iconic Crestone Needle. Keep in mind that accessing this trailhead requires a 4x4 vehicle (SERIOUSLY!). Other good jumping off points include the Alvarado Trailhead and Grapecreek Trailhead.

Hiking + Biking

There are numerous forest roads and mountain passes to explore. One great option is Hermit Pass - bring your fishing pole and drop a line at one of the high alpine lakes along the way.

4x4ing + Jeeping

Planning on road-tripping to the wedding? Salida and Buena Vista are two our our favorite Colorado mountain towns just an hour from the venue. Plan a day trip and peruse the cute shops on main street or go rafting on the Arkansas River.

Buena Vista + Salida, CO

You'll find numerous fishing spots along the Arkansas River by Rincon Campground or at DeWeese Reservoir.
