Troy and Yinka’s story began by chance at an NBA playoffs watch party in Yinka’s apartment building. They clicked right away, but neither thought to exchange contact information. Little did they know, fate had plans for them. A month later, they ran into each other again on a New York rooftop, celebrating the Fourth of July. This time, they knew they were meant to be, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Together, Troy and Yinka celebrate a shared love for Africa and vibrant Black culture. With Troy’s Jamaican roots and Yinka’s Ghanaian heritage, their creativity flourishes—Troy’s passion for fashion and Yinka’s love for film and photography have fueled countless adventures. Exploring new destinations at least three times a year, they’ve built a lifetime of memories. One of their favorite moments was on the London Eye, where Troy’s fear of water started to get the best of her. Looking back, she’s grateful Yinka was there to calm her down; she jokes she might have “crashed out” without him!
