"We're getting Married"

"A DINNER TURNED INTO FOREVER" AN HOUR BEFORE THE ENCOUNTER: MONE'T'S POINT OF VIEW: I had just gotten off of work when Maurie' invited me to dinner for the evening with her & her guy friend, at the time. I wasn't to sure of going as I didn't have the proper clothes on to be going to dinner with company. Maurie' assured me I was cute and whoever I met shouldn't be worried about how I looked. I agreed & assured myself that I wasn't trying to impress anyone- I am a working woman, tired from the days work & I could use an adult beverage to relax. TROY'S POINT OF VIEW: I was getting back from eating with my dad for our annual Veteran's Day lunch (we are both military Veterans). My friend texted me to see if I could join him for dinner with his lady friend & her sister. I said NO. He then called another guy but didn't think Mone't would like him so he called me again 7 times & begged me to come. I kept saying "NO you will have to entertain them both man". Then he coerced me to go in exchange for a case of beer. I asked what his friend's sister looked like. He told me & I said, "If she looks anything like her sister, & they're twins, then I will meet her." THE MEETING: MONE'T'S POINT OF VIEW: When I laid eyes on Troy and he smiled my initial thought of Troy was "Wow he has the most handsome smile!" TROY'S POINT OF VIEW: When I saw and had dinner with Mone't I immediately thought she was very beautiful and really cool! 2 HOURS INTO THE ENCOUNTER: Troy and I were not ready to part from each other so we went to see the movie "BEST MAN HOLIDAY" I felt so comfortable with Troy and tucked myself safely into his chest, only to have to tuck him into my arms moments later as he tried to hold back tears from the movie. 7 YEARS AFTER THE ENCOUNTER: Who knew that after that very night it would turn into 7 years of a joyful journey! In less than 3 months, we will walk down the aisle to meet each other soon to join in marriage!

TROY'S POINT OF VIEW: "Sept 21st was a great day for 2 reasons! It was my birthday & the day I would take Mone't to the magical gardens of the Dallas Arboretum where I would propose to her! I was ready as I had gotten the perfect ring to commit to the woman of my dreams. I had been to 5 stores in the last few months & at the last store I saw the ring blinging in the light, it was her ring! It must be God because its the same price as the one I had my mind set on!" At the Arboretum, I walked with my lady through the gardens hand in hand until I saw the perfect spot to propose. I took a deep breath got down on ONE KNEE, turned her around and begin to speak my truth..."Babe I love you with all my heart. Ever since I met you, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you, you have my heart, will you marry me?'" She looked at me, then smiled & said "YES Troy I will marry you!" A weight was lifted! MONE'T'S POINT OF VIEW: Today was my man's birthday. I had just come in from Atlanta and was in a rush to get his surprise birthday celebration together when he called and asked me to meet him. I gave him a little bit of trouble because I had things to do. He insisted which was awkward. A date on his birthday? I begin to feel nervous not knowing what was going on. I went to meet him and he & a friend were there. 2nd feeling of nervousness as there were 3 of us not 2. He began by taking me through the gardens of the beautiful Arboretum where I saw "the pumpkin patch" & other colorful floral and trees. It was magical! Then he disappeared for what seemed to be several minutes. 3rd feeling of nervousness. He came back with a bouquet of 2 dozen white roses! I was really nervous now. Of course Troy always brings me flowers but today was different. We continued walking up an amazing stair case in the garden & then he asked me to turn around. I took a breath before turning around. When I turned he was on ONE KNEE & I told myself "Its happening"!! I's engaged now!
