Nearly ten years ago, a chance Snapchat connection—whose origin remains a mystery—brought together a girl from Texas and a guy from Virginia. What began as daily conversations grew into a connection that quietly endured time, distance, and life’s changing seasons. Though their journey wasn’t always linear, they never truly lost touch or the sense that something meaningful existed between them. Over the years, they navigated long-distance chapters, new beginnings, and moments of pause, always finding their way back to one another. Inspired by a shared love of Tangled and a dream of attending a lantern festival together, he finally flew to Texas for their first meeting in person. When the festival was unexpectedly canceled, they spent the time exploring Lubbock instead—laughing, talking, and truly getting to know each other. It was during that trip they realized their connection was stronger than ever. Two years later, now living near one another and building a life side by side, they are joyfully engaged and excited to celebrate the next chapter of their story with the people they love most.
