Answer

The drive is roughly 4 and a half hours.

Question

How do I book my hotel?

Answer

Under the section Travel in this website, it provides a link and pricing information for the Hard Rock Hotel in South Lake Tahoe. Troy and Jamie have secured a room block for their guests and have offered discounted rates for your stay. It also includes instructions on how to book with the room block

Question

Do I have to stay at The Hard Rock Hotel or can I book elsewhere?

No, definitely not. However, it would be the wisest and most convenient choice as the wedding is taking place here and you're being offered discounted rates.

Question

What if weather does not allow us to travel?

Answer

We will be keeping a very close eye on the weather all the way up until the wedding and will update the entire group if anything arises. You can also check the Cal Trans website as well. https://dot.ca.gov/

Question

Should I have snow chains for my vehicle?

Answer

It is highly recommended that if you do not have an all wheel drive, or snow tires that you definitely be prepared with snow chains for your vehicle.
