This is a great hike for older children, teenagers, and parents (and parents who want to carry younger children -- not stroller compatible). There is a suspension bridge that is the highlight of the hike. It's generally considered a "moderately challenging route" and takes an average of 1 h 28 min to complete. We've provided an "All Trails" map link, however, the address provided is one of the trailheads. You'll want to do an "out and back" hike once you reach the bridge.
This is one of Troy's favorite places to get easy mountain access for all ages (small children in strollers or older adults who want a flat route). You can walk around Silver Lake on dirt trails or head straight to the boardwalks and dock that lead across then lake. Enjoy the beautiful drive up Big Cottonwood Canyon and the fresh mountain air.
