Believe it or not, our story started a whole year before we ever met — with a simple Instagram follow. Our mutual friend Hank insisted that we follow each other, and while we didn’t think much of it at the time, fate clearly had other plans. Fast forward to Labor Day weekend in Ocean City. Hank reappeared and told Clare to meet up with him and his buddy Troy at Fager’s Island. That’s where it all began. Troy won Clare over with (more than) a few orange crushes, and the two ended up talking all night- mostly about their nieces and nephews. Once Clare realized her and Troy shared a strong love for their families, she knew he was someone special.
