We're getting hitched!

They say the best things in life happen when you aren't looking for them-sometimes, they’re just sitting right across the bar top. Christa was pouring drinks on a lazy, Sunday afternoon at the local haunt, while Troy was a familiar face, a regular who would head over after classes at the college across the street. For a long time, their interaction was limited to the usual "What can I get you?" until one afternoon, the conversation shifted from drink orders to the fine art of BBQ. The charcoal sparks were flying and Troy decided it was time to move the conversation away from the bar. He invited her to join him and a group of his friends for brunch the following weekend. When the day of the brunch finally arrived, Christa showed up ready to meet the crew. However, one by one, Troy’s friends started "dropping out." As it turns out, Troy’s friends were excellent wingmen—they had staged a collective cancellation to ensure that what was supposed to be a group hang turned into an accidental (and very intentional) first date. With the group gone, it was just the two of them. They met up for dim sum and tea, and any initial nerves quickly disappeared. Between rounds of dumplings and steaming pots of tea, the conversation flowed even better than the drinks at the bar. The connection was instant, effortless, and far better than any group brunch could have been. From a college regular and a bartender to soulmates and soon-to-be newlyweds, the rest is history.
