Maid of Honor
Emily is my one and ONLY sister who is almost four years younger than me. We more similar than we care to admit, and I'm sure you will witness us say the same thing at the same time at least once at the wedding. She's my first pick for volleyball, but when she isn't setting up a mean assist, she's either studying flashcards or napping.
Best Man
Eric and Troy grew up as next door neighbors and distant 3rd or 4th cousins, and had been good pals since starting school even though they were a year apart. Eric was also the bass guitar player in a punk rock band with Lizzy, who sang as a lead vocalist (2011). Eric and his wife Morgan have been married for 2 1/2 years so they have shared LOTS of advice on how to stay married the first few years!
Bridesmaid
Cortney is the 2nd oldest of Troy's family, and the self proclaimed "favorite sister". When Cortney comes back to the area, we know we'll be up all night dancing until Troy makes us go to bed.
Groomsman
Troy met Dale in daycare so they've known each other for almost 25 years! They were in the same class at Seneca and their dads are also besties. Dale is goofy and funny, but also caring and loyal. He's a good pal to have on your team.
Bridesmaid
We worked together at Trane for about a year and a half, but we really clicked when Jen saw my name on a trial run at burn bootcamp! We started meeting up daily to workout together and have been besties ever since, despite us moving in opposite directions!
Groomsman
Nate is close friend to both Troy and Lizzy, and Liz likes to brag that she's been friends with Nate the longest. They went to prom together in 2014 (pic). Nate is often Troy's best bet for fantasy football discussions and a great sand volleyball player!
Bridesmaid
Erica is the oldest child in Troy's family, and coached Lizzy in middle school basketball many years ago. She is the herder of all children and has a brood of three young ones with her husband Shawn.
Groomsman
Troy met Ryan on his family farm on a hoof trimming adventure just before they started going to pre-K in Seneca. Troy says Ryan buried all Troy's ninja turtles in the sand. Surprisingly, I could see him doing this again today. Troy and his dad still stop out at Ryan's family farm to hoof trim for their dairy operation.
Bridesmaid
Lizzy met Toni in kindergarten at Seneca schools where they became fast friends. They experienced everything together (sports, boys, etc.) all the way up until high school. Toni moved several hours away with family, but they still kept in touch. To this day, it takes a minute together and they pick up right where they left off.
Groomsman
Troy and Ryan's dads are friends from their school days, so they met on the guys' annual hunting trips taken when they were kids. Ryan moved into Seneca school to share his senior year with most of these guys (incl. Troy) and was Troy's roommate for two years in Eastman.
Honor Attendant
Jackie met Lizzy's brother Jeremy down on the island of St. Croix, where they live. Jackie is a fun loving, competitive, dog-loving woman from Nebraska. Jeremy and Jackie got married in March of 2019, and come to visit the family farm a few times a year. I'm so lucky to call her my sister-in-law!
Honor Attendant
Jeremy is the oldest of the Garfoot kid clan, which is my favorite thing to tell him. He has two boys (Noah and Rowan) and lives on the island of St. Croix where he works for the Nat'l Guard and co-owns a CrossFit gym. Also, he is a large fan of bacon.
Honor Attendant
My brother Jason brought this cool gal down a few years ago to play volleyball with us at the annual Seneca Days tournament, and she had an warm personality that fit right in with our family. Years later (is it 5 now?!), she's my sister in law!
Honor Attendant
Jason is the second oldest in our Garfoot group. He's a freaky smart guy who is terrible to play trivia against and very worldly. He has traveled a great deal around the U.S. and to other countries, namely Italy, in his current job. He's always bringing home photos or a new recipe to share!
