Cuong and Phui's (she likes to go by Amy) story began in 2018 at Weiss Memorial Hospital. One day, Cuong spotted Amy walking through the hallway and immediately thought she was beautiful and he couldn't stop thinking about getting to know her. Unfortunately, he didn't quite have the courage to talk to her yet. Things only got more embarrassing when Amy waved at him one day in the hallway - or so he thought. As he smiled and waved back he quickly realized she was actually waving to her coworker behind him. Amy and her coworker walked away smiling and giggling while Cuong stood there completely embarrassed. Not long after, fate gave him another chance. Amy peeked her head out from a patient room dressed head to toe in an isolation gown and asked if Cuong could help her roll a patient. Even though he couldn't see her smile behind the mask, he was completely smitten by the way her eyes smiled at him. From then on, Cuong found every excuse he could to stop by and see Amy. Eventually, Cuong worked up the courage to ask Amy to go snowboarding - mostly because it was the only idea he could think of at the time. While they never actually made it snowboarding for their first date, they ended up spending the entire day together.
