Cheers to Forever !

During the pandemic, when socializing was a dangerous sport and local entertainment options were limited to Netflix and baking bread with your roommate, going out meant a trip to a local restaurant. Niko lived on Sunshine Avenue which happened to be down the street from, the Sunshine Grille family restaurant. Chicken tenders, fries and bourbon served by Irene. This is where our story begins. Niko became a regular; sipping bourbon & attempting to flirt from a safe distance. His attempts at romantic banter, went unanswered. Irene was Irene busy working. Little did she know, Niko was making moves; unfortunately, he was the only one that noticed. Many visits, and many bourbons later, in what could only be described as a moment of divine intervention or sheer luck, Niko did something that actually worked. On his way out, he purchased a to-go cocktail and left Irene a tip using Venmo. He left a whole 69 cents, but with this clever maneuver he was able to swipe her digits. Never before has anyone given so little and received so much. Soon enough the text messages started and after some playful texting and banter, their stars aligned. Niko finally asked Irene out on their first date. They met at TGIF for a casual lunch, where he managed to dazzle her with his wit and his style despite her intent on being bored and unmoved by the encounter. And so began a romance that set two people’s lives in a new direction forever.
