Travel Note
Generally, travel time to the Philippines takes about 24-26 hours. We recommend flying with Korean Air (layover in Seoul) or Eva Air (layover in Taipei). Flight time from the East Coast to East Asia is about 14 hours. From there it will be an additional 4 hours to Manila (the capital). We recommend staying in Manila for a few days to explore the capital city. It is historic and beautiful. The wedding destination is in Naga City, a provincial town which you can reach by connecting flight. The connecting flight destination is Legaspi, it is a one hour flight from Manila via local airlines. We can pick guests up from there, this will be about a 2 hour ride from airport to hotel. Typically the cost of flight tickets from a US city to Manila range from as low as $800 to as high as $1,500 USD. On average, Trixie and her family pay ~$1,200 USD per person. The flight to Manila to Legaspi is about $70 USD. Trixie and Tariq will be arriving May 27 and departing June 19. After the wedding, we recommend flying out from Legaspi to Manila on June 17, explore a bit, and depart for the US on June 19 on flight KE624/KE091 back to Boston.

As of November 1st, 2023, $100 U.S. Dollars is equivalent to $5,686.75 Philippine Pesos. If you're a budget traveler, you can expect to spend around $30 to $50 per day in the Philippines.
