We met while we were both working at Bonefish in Jacksonville Beach. We used to catch each other looking for the other through the kitchen window. I started to notice that he would need to sneak by pretty frequently when I was rolling silverware or polishing glasses. We went on our first date at Surfer bar to watch a Dusty Payne surf video. Soon after that, we decided to merge our homes and animals. We now have our “farm” as Josh likes to call it, with our dogs Tank and Bodhi and our cats Milo and Fiona.

I had just gotten home from a White Elephant Christmas Party at my friend Hali’s and went into the bathroom to wash my face and start getting ready for bed. Josh kept walking in and out of our bedroom and then started asking me to come out to the living room to look at something. He kept calling me out and said “Babe, come look at this!”. So, I finished up in the bathroom and walked out to Josh kneeling under the tree with his back to me looking down at the gifts. I immediately thought Tank got into the gifts and started to get reallllly nervous. Then Josh turned around on one knee and said something really sweet, I’m sure. I can’t remember much because I was so overwhelmed! We got engaged under our Christmas Tree with all our animals watching on December 21st, 2022 and celebrated our 5 year anniversary on June 12, 2023.
