FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at our wedding Mass by 1:15 PM. It is best practice to arrive at a Catholic Mass 10-15 minutes prior to the start of the Mass to allow yourself time for quiet prayer to spiritually prepare.

Question

May I receive Communion?

Answer

In order to receive Holy Communion, one must be a practicing Catholic, not be conscious of any grave sin not remitted by a priest in the sacrament of Penance, and have fasted for one hour. Those not receiving Holy Communion may come forward during the Communion procession to receive a blessing, signified by crossing one’s arms on the chest.

Question

May I take photos?

Answer

Taking photographs during Mass will be prohibited to maintain a spirit of reverence during this most sacred form of worship. We kindly ask you to put personal cameras and cell phones away during the celebration of the Mass.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Everyone will maintain a formal dress code at both the Mass and the reception. Ladies will wear floor-length gowns or tea-length, elevated cocktail dresses. Gentlemen will wear tuxedos or dark suits and ties. We kindly ask that ladies refrain from wearing dark green, as this color is reserved for members of the wedding party.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Because we aim to be intentional in everything we do, only guests formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP. We are so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are several hotels within 15 minutes from Manor Country Club, but we especially recommend the Cambria Hotel in Rockville, where we have reserved a room block. Guests may book within the block at a discounted rate by using our custom link, found by navigating to the top of this screen and selecting "Travel."

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is abundantly available at both St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Manor Country Club. *Note: At Manor, we recommend parking in the upper parking lot near the main entrance.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered here on Zola. Navigate to the top of this page and select "Registry." We are so grateful!

Question

What happens if I don't respond in time?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by September 15th, it will be marked as a "No." We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide the total guest count to the venue in the timely manner they have given us, and cannot accept late responses due to this. Thank you for understanding.
