Travel Note
We hope you will enjoy an authentic Italian experience by joining us for our wedding. We strongly suggest familiarizing yourself with some basic Italian language. It would also be helpful to have a translation tool available and ready to use (we suggest Google Translate). We will be immersed in beautiful areas of Italy where we may not encounter English speakers often! Keep in mind that our ceremony will be in a Catholic Church in Pratola Serra, and the reception will be at a venue near Benevento which is a larger city (approx. 30 min drive from the ceremony). See the list below of nearby hotels/BnBs near our ceremony or reception if your accomodations are not yet secured. Be sure passports are up to date! In our experience, flights to Rome are less expensive than other Italian airports. We highly recommend renting a car for travel in Italy, even if only for a portion of your trip. Rental cars in Italy are often manual and may take different types of gas, regular/benzene is easiest to find, so be sure to pay attention to this when you book. All that is required to drive in Italy is an International Driver’s License which can be easily obtained through AAA. However, if you choose to use public transportation only, there are trains that connect several larger cities directly to Benevento. Once in Benevento, it may be difficult to find reliable public transportation to Pratola Serra. You may need to coordinate with other guests for travel between the ceremony and reception, or you can rent a car in Benevento, only for the travel to and from the ceremony.
