Our venue is in Banner Elk, North Carolina. About 30 minutes away from Boone, NC and the Appalachian Mountains. Notice I say it’s in the mountains- it is on TOP of a mountain. So please, listen carefully to my directions on how to get there. First, follow Maps to the town of Banner Elk, Nc. Type Banner Elk into your search bar, and when you arrive to the small town, from THERE, then type in "The White Crow wedding venue Banner Elk", and it will take you to the safest route. Please take the straightest path possible, and do not try to take the squiggly path- it is not only dangerous, but incredibly hard to navigate with no service 97% of the way.
Our wedding will take place on August 22nd, 2027, so we ask that ALL guests, including plus ones, and dual invitations’ second party, RSVP before June 15th, 2027. PSA: If a party does not respond by the RSVP date, their names will be marked off of the list of guests as “unable to attend”, and unaccounted for.
We kindly ask all of our guests to stick to a formal or cocktail attire dress code, within the wedding colors of: blue, yellow, and green. Pastels preferred and florals welcome! If you’re unsure, feel free to ask one of our listed wedding party members!
Great question! Our ceremony is a small one, filled with our closest friends and family. If you have a plus one, it will be *listed clearly* on your invitation. Some invitations are addressed to couples by name - this is an invitation only to the people listed on your invite. Whether you have a plus one or a dual invitation, all parties will need to RSVP to be accounted for. PSA: If guests arrive either not on our list (which will be held at the entrance), or did not RSVP before the due date, they will kindly be turned away.
As much as we adore your little ones, we hope you can enjoy our grown-ups-only celebration. If you have a child over the age of 15, and they are *clearly listed on your invitation*, this is the only exception. You deserve a night off, so help us celebrate the bride and groom with a night to remember!
We ask guests to arrive at the venue before the ceremony time of 4:30 PM to avoid any late traffic, or possible disruptions to the ceremony. This will also account for parking, finding a seat, and any much-needed bathroom breaks after the long drive!
Yes! Our venue has parking for up to 50 guests, so we do ask if you CAN drive together - please do, but if not, there will be space for you. This is also why we ask you to arrive early, to account for parking and other inconveniences such as traffic.
We appreciate your generosity, however, we have been living together since June 2025, so we have all of our homely necessities already. You being a part of our big day means enough to us, but if you wish to gift us still, there are a few material items on our registry. Everything else on our registry is a donation offer for *experiences* instead of physical items. Things like dinners, theater, scuba diving, or even some of our wedding expenses! Nothing is pay-in-full unless you wish to do so, so you can put any amount towards a total! Again, we thank you.
To answer the question simply, yes. There will be a licensed bartender serving a small selection of beer, wine, and a few signature cocktails. Every drink ordered will have to be purchased by the person ordering. There will be NO OPEN BAR.
